JEE Main Result 2026 Date Update: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially announced that the JEE Main 2026 Session 1 result will now be released on February 16, 2026. As per the earlier information bulletin, the result was expected to be declared by February 12, but the schedule has now been revised.

JEE Main 2026 Answer Key Update
The objection window for the provisional answer key of JEE Main 2026 Session 1 closed on February 6, 2026. After examining the challenges submitted by candidates, NTA will publish the final answer key, which will form the basis for preparing the results.
JEE Main 2026 Scores to Be Used For Admissions
The JEE Main 2026 scores will be considered for admission to undergraduate programmes such as:
- BE / BTech
- BArch
- BPlanning
Admissions will be offered in participating government and private institutions across India.
JEE Main 2026 Session 1 Exam Details
The Session 1 examination was conducted in computer-based mode from January 21 to January 29, 2026.
Exam Shifts:
- Morning Shift: 9:00 AM to 12:00 Noon
- Afternoon Shift: 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM
The BE/BTech papers were conducted from January 21 to January 28. According to candidates and subject experts, the overall difficulty level of the exam was moderate, though variations were observed across different shifts and subjects.
Comparison With JEE Main 2025
In 2025, NTA declared the January session results on February 11. The examination that year was held from January 22 to January 30, and 12 questions were dropped from the final answer key.
Use of JEE Main 2026 Scores by Other Institutions
The JEE Main 2026 merit list and scores may also be utilized by other central and state government bodies, subject to their respective eligibility criteria, regulations, norms, and admission guidelines.
Re-evaluation and Re-checking Policy
NTA has clearly stated that:
- There will be no re-evaluation or re-checking of JEE Main 2026 results.
- Any correspondence regarding rechecking requests will not be entertained.
JEE Main 2026: Cases Where Results Will Not Be Declared
The results of the following candidates will be cancelled:
- Candidates found involved in Unfair Means Practices (UMP)
- Candidates who appear at an examination centre other than the one allotted
- Candidates who allow another person to appear on their behalf
- Candidates who attempt the same session more than once
In such cases, candidature will be cancelled and candidates may be debarred as per UFM guidelines. No appeal or request in this regard will be accepted.
