CBSE CTET Exam 2026: The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will conduct the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) 2026 on February 7 and 8, 2026, across more than 140 cities throughout the country. Candidates appearing for the examination are required to strictly follow the instructions issued by CBSE, as failure to comply may lead to disqualification.
The CTET Admit Card 2026 was released on February 5, 2026, and registered candidates can download it from the official website.
CTET 2026 Exam Date, Shift, and Timing
Earlier, through an official post on social media, CBSE advised candidates to carefully check the exam date, shift, and reporting time mentioned on their CTET admit card and to reach the examination centre well before the reporting time.
The board has clearly stated that:
- No entry will be allowed after the reporting time
- Requests for change of exam city, exam centre, or exam date will not be entertained
CTET 2026 Exam Shifts
The examination will be conducted in two shifts on both days:
- First Shift: 9:30 AM to 12:00 Noon
- Second Shift: 2:30 PM to 5:00 PM
CTET 2026 Important Guidelines For Candidates
- Candidates must carry their CTET Admit Card 2026 along with a valid photo identity proof to the examination centre. Entry will be denied without these documents.
- Carrying prohibited items inside the exam hall is strictly not allowed. These include:
- Metallic items
- Books and loose papers
- Geometry boxes and pencil boxes
- Jewellery and plastic pouches
- Pencils, scales, log tables, writing pads, erasers, whiteners, cardboard
- Electronic devices such as mobile phones, smart watches, wallets, spectacle cases, handbags
- Earphones, microphones, cameras, headphones, pen drives, pagers, Bluetooth devices
- Calculators, debit/credit cards, electronic pens or scanners
- Food items or eatables
- Candidates are advised to thoroughly check all details mentioned on the e-admit card, including name, photograph, signature, exam centre, and subject details.
- In case of any discrepancy in the admit card—such as incorrect personal details or mismatch with the confirmation page—candidates must immediately contact the CTET Unit to get the issue rectified before the examination.
